Kwame Dawes

Kwame Dawes was born in Ghana in 1962 and spent most of his childhood and early adult life in Jamaica. A playwright, poet and critic, Dawes’ adaptation of Jamaican writer Roger Mais’ novel Brotherman was commissioned by Talawa and premiered at the Lyric Theatre in London in 2001.
